The Lampman community and surrounding area came together on Saturday evening to support their local Fire Department.

The volunteer organization hosted a fundraising dinner in hopes to buy a new fire truck.

"It was very well attended, and a good dinner supplied by Spilchuk Meats. Around 300 people showed," stated Fire Chief Grant Palmer.

"We had two comedians, there was a silent and live auction, we had a 50/50 draw and we also had our big raffle."

The prizes for the latter included a side by side, a trailer as well as a thousand dollars in cash.

"Any amount raised helps. It's just the beginning and it was a great response," said Palmer.

"We would like to thank the people that donated to the silent and live auctions as well as those who attended."

"All the members that helped out did an amazing job. Thank you very much for coming out and helping support our cause," he expressed.
