Organizers are praising another successful Lobsterfest as this year's fundraiser raised roughly $50,000 which will be put back into the community.

"This year we were up around 720 (tickets sold)," said Rotary Club of Estevan Treasurer Jeff Ward. "It's good to see people out again, see it full, it's our biggest fundraiser of the year and it helps us earn some money to give back into community projects."

"We're working with Estevan Minor Baseball, Estevan Minor Softball...we're continuing to look for different projects. Half of the funds from Lobsterfest go to our foundation, which we generally save up some money to submit into a larger scale project into the community. The Rotary Foundation Board will decide what that project looks like," Ward continued.

Affinity Place hosted the dinner back on June 23, and Ward mentioned there was another feature that caught people's attention.

"It was kind of the first showcase of the new (score)clock and there was lot of buzz around that, so that was fantastic," he said.
