Man accused of sexual assault misses court appearance; trial postponed

A man facing sexual assault and child pornography charges did not appear in Estevan court on Monday.

Quinton Preston was supposed to stand trial this week, but he did not show up for day one of the trial.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday, and the Estevan Police Service said he turned himself in. He remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

The courthouse said the trial will now be pushed back to a later date.
