The Estevan Courthouse confirmed Tuesday that Carson Pelletier did not show up in court on May 17, the date his trial was supposed to start.

Pelletier was set to stand trial for alleged drug crimes in the southeast relating to Project Minch, which saw 13 people arrested for a total of 44 charges.

Pelletier faces charges of trafficking drugs, as well as possession with the intent of trafficking.

His trial was initially scheduled for January of this year before being adjourned until May.

The courthouse said there is a warrant out for Pelletier. Once apprehended by police, he'll be in front of a judge again and a new trial date will be set.
