Just under 30,000 people packed into Mosiac Stadium yesterday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders were defeated by the BC Lions by a score of 19-17.

The Riders were lead on the day by Quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie who threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Riders offensive charge. It appears now that it is almost a lock that when the Riders kick off the regular season Dinwiddie will be the number 2 quarterback on the depth chart.

Rob Bagg and Jason Clermont caught the touchdown passes from Dinwiddie.

The Riders defence kept the first unit of the Lions in check and Head Coach Ken Miller was happy with the play of his defensive ends in getting pressure to the quarterback.

Saskatchewan did suffer on injury, rookie receiver Aaron Fairooz suffered a lower body injury. The severity of which is not known at this time.

The Riders will finish the preseason against Calgary next Sunday at McMahon Stadium.
