This Summer in Saskatchewan you can put your survival skills to the test. Sask Parks is putting on survival skill programs all around the province. The programs are to educate communities in a fun and hands-on way about surviving in the wilderness.

The program consists of six different modules you can choose to take, which consist of, Survival 101, Natures Pantry, Find Your Way, Wilderness Encounters, Build a Shelter, and Focus on Fire. Each module focuses on different survival skills from how to find your way home if you're lost, to ways to build a shelter, and basic survival skills.

Nicky Mcloughlin, Manager of Visitor Experiences and Public Programming for Saskatchewan Provincial Parks explains more on what is expected for these programs " It's a really fun way to educate yourself on survival. We can teach you a thing or two and you won't even know you're learning! It's so much fun and we are so proud to be offering it as a free program at Saskatchewan Parks."

This is the first year that this Survival Series will be offered. It is open to all ages and is a completely free program. If you are wanting more information you can visit the Sask Parks website and find the Survival Series tab to find dates, times, and locations.
