As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on and with vaccine protocols now firmly established, attendance at SJHL games across the province has dropped this season.

According to data from HockeyDB.com, most team's attendance has dropped to varying degrees compared to the 2019-2020 season.

In Estevan, the Bruins have seen the attendance at Affinity Place drop by almost double. This year the Bruins are averaging 632 fans per game, compared to 1034 in the 2019-2020 season. There is no data for the 2020-2021 season because that season was essentially cancelled due to the pandemic.

Overall, the Bruins have averaged 944 fans per game over the last 11 seasons.

The Humboldt Broncos are leading the way this year, averaging 786 fans per game, good for first in the league. This is down only slightly from the 2019-2020 season (864). Melfort is second overall with 717 fans per game. This is also down slightly from 2019-2020 numbers (796).

Even with the drop in Estevan, the Bruins still sit third in the league in attendance.
