Interest in our province's oil and gas industry remains high with over thirty-million dollars in revenue generated in this month's sale of Crown Petroleum and Natural Gas Rights.

That brings the total revenue since the start of the year to over one-hundred and fifty-one million dollars.

According to Ed Dancsok, the Director of the Geology and Petroleum Lands Branch with Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, the Estevan and Weyburn area once again received the most bonus bid activity generating 27.7 million dollars.

The August sale also included the first-ever public offering of oil sands rights, and oil shale exploration permits.

The next Crown Land sale is October 1st.
