Teachers from the Southeast Cornerstone Public School Division will be striking in Regina as part of job action next week.

The Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation gave a two-day notice Friday morning that teachers from various divisions will be at the Saskatchewan legislative building for a strike.

Teachers will not report to school and will not perform any teaching-related duties on the day of a strike.

That includes teachers from the Association Locale des Enseignantes et des Enseignants Fransaskois, Holy Family Teachers’ Association, Prairie South Teachers’ Association, Regina Public Teachers’ Association, Regina Catholic Teachers’ Association, Saskatchewan Distance Learning Corporation, and South East Cornerstone Teachers’ Association.

The day will be the first full withdrawal of services from the southeast region since January.

This action coincides with the first day of the spring legislative session, with supporters able to join teachers on the strike line between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
