An ongoing search continues for a suspect in the Regina area, according to a release Friday afternoon from the RCMP.

The Mounties said officers in Southey have received information from video surveillance from a local business which shows a man that matches the description of Joel Campbell, who is wanted for being unlawfully at large. RCMP are hoping to locate him to confirm his well-being, as he has been out of contact with his family for an extended period of time.

RCMP said Campbell may have been walking south on Highway 6 south of Southey toward Regina on April 5.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., a black Dodge Charger could be seen stopping next to the man. The man then appeared to enter the vehicle, which continued to travel south.

If you have information on this interaction, you can report it to Southey RCMP by calling 306-726-5230, or report it to your local police service.

RCMP are also hoping to speak to the driver or occupants of the Dodge Charger for information on Campbell's whereabouts.

Southey RCMP are following up on all information provided to police in an effort to locate Campbell.
