The Corn Maze has been taking place just outside of Estevan off of highway 47 and it has been quite the A-maizeing race for many as they challenge their skill and wits in a race to beat the maze runner's coveted time.

Layden Mackenzie with the Estevan Bible Camp and one of the organizers to help put on the 3rd annual Corn Cob Junction and all of its activities gave an update on how it's all going for the season so far.

"Well, we're really happy with it, people have been coming out and having a great time. Spending a lot of time there, so we've been really happy with that. Some people have even been taking their fall pictures amongst the corn and that's always fun to see as well."

"Actually for the last couple of days with the weather being nice, we're really happy with the numbers, I don't have a final count. But it was always busy every time I was out there. It was pretty steady with people in and out."

As for the maze runners time to beat Layden had this to say, "I don't think so, we've had some of our team try it but I think they managed about 3 minutes."

With Thanksgiving on its way a few changes are happening this weekend, "We're going to be open our regular hours from 11- 7 pm on Saturday, but we're taking Sunday off to try and give our volunteer and mission team a chance to spend that Sunday with their families to take Thanksgiving. And be able to go home and enjoy that, instead of being out at the maze. We're just running the one day to allow everybody that's maybe down for the weekend, or around to enjoy the maze and time to enjoy time with their family on Sunday."

And as the Estevan Bible Camp is a recipient of the funds raised through the maze Mackenzie had this to say, "We're definitely on track, based on last years numbers. Were actually already halfway there, which is always exciting. We're ahead of last years schedule which is always really encouraging."

Layden expressed his appreciation, "I want to thank everyone for coming out, having a good time, and I hope they continue coming."

So head on down to the corn maze this Saturday and spend some time eating great food, ziplining, and trying to beat the Maze Runners time.
