The Bienfait Fire Department was called out to a small structure fire on the northeast corner of Roche Percee shortly after 9 am. It has been confirmed that no one was hurt during the small blaze.

The small structure was an old oil field shack that SaskEnergy was on scene for part of the fire to make sure the gas line leading to the shack was shut off.

The Estevan Fire Department was called out to assist in fighting the fire and returned shortly before noon once the fire was extinguished and contained, while the Bienfait crew remained on scene to monitor any hot spots that may have come up.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. The structure does not appear to have been saved, and it's unclear if there was anything of value to have been destroyed inside.
