The public is asked to be on the lookout for a car haul trailer that was stolen last night from a business on Highway 39 on the east side of Estevan. 

"It is a 26-foot car haul trailer stolen from a business on 39 East Highway," shared Sgt Tyler McMillan with the Estevan Police. "Black trailer, it has manual flip up ramps in the back end."

"The licence plate that was on it at the time of theft is 372 GSJ."

Anyone with any information is asked to call their local police or Crimestoppers. You can also provide information online

Also last night, the Estevan Police Service made a discovery after stopping a Macoun man heading into Estevan. 

"Members on patrol last night stopped a vehicle last night coming into the city for speeding and as a result of that traffic stop, further investigation a 23-year-old from that area was charged for possession of marijuana under 30 grams and possession of cannabis resin over one gram."

"He was charged and released and also charged for speeding."

His first court appearance will be on July 16th at Estevan Provincial Court. 

He added that even though marijuana will be legal soon, it is still important to enforce the laws in effect.

"Even when the new laws come in, it will certain amounts at certain times. And at this time, it is illegal. We're not the ones that decide that laws, we just enforce them and they are still in effect and we will enforce the laws until they change."
