Some special fishing will take place this week in Estevan

Estevan will be hosting a special visitor this week as Fishing Canada's Pete Bowman will be staying in the Energy City from Thursday until Monday. Bowman will be at Boundary Dam filming for an episode of his tv show Fish'n Canada.

Tourism Coordinator Kevin D'Souza says they've been working with Fishing Canada and Fishing Saskatchewan to get Bowman to Estevan for quite some time.  D'Souza believes the exposure that will be created from television cameras will show Estevan in a good light. He believes that a lot of fisherman will do a lot more fishing at Boundary Dam once they see it on TV.

D'Souza believes it's important to showcase Boundary Dam because it's a major attraction in the area. He notes that people travel a long way to go fishing and with limited places to Bass Fish in western Canada it only makes sense to promote it.

Bowman will be making an apperance at the Woodlawn Park 50th anniversary celebrations on Saturday at Boundary Dam Beach. D'Souza says Bowman will likely be making a speech on his fishing experiences and he'll be taking part in a meet and greet with fans on that day.

D'Souza discusses Fish'n Canada's Pete Bowman coming to town this week.
