The TS&M Oustanding Contribution to the Workplace Award

As the title implies, the award goes to the woman who has shown her commitment to making the workplace a better place while maintaining the level of professionalism expected.

"We send it to someone that goes above and beyond the call of duty at work and commits themself to not only work but the community and making a healthy, well rounded community."

The Ida Peterson Memorial Award for Outstanding Entrepeneur

Named after the first female mayor in Estevan's history, the award celebrates some of the amazing self starters who work to make their own business that contributes to the community.

"We've been doing this for 21 years and really we cannont highlight them enough, there's also the next generation, the next move into a commitment to our community, and we see that especially through this award and the Shirley Orsted Memorial Award for Outstanding Young Woman."

The Shirley Orsted Memorial Award for Outstanding Young Woman

This award goes towards the young women who've started to make their contributions to the community early, all of which are still in school.

"We've seen them come out of the (Estevan) Comp School, come into the comminuty, and start a business, who work here, who go to school and come back, it's absolutely awesome to see these women commit to our community."

The Southern Plains Co-Op Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award

Probably the most broad of the four awards, this goes to the woman who's efforts towards the comminuty have gone above and beyond towards the general public.

"It's always exciting to have the many nominations in this category, they improved the lives and citizens of Estevan in so many ways and there's so many women that do that."

You can find nomination forms in a number of places around Estevan, including at the radio station's office. Nominations must be in by the end of March 24th.
