The Estevan Police Service reported Monday morning that a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for sexual offences out of Edmonton was arrested over the weekend.

The EPS has now disclosed his name and charges.

Thirty-three-year-old Robert W. Kelly's charges include sexual interference, luring a child, and possession of child pornography.

Police said a warrant for Kelly was extended by authorities in Alberta, as he was wanted on "several outstanding charges alleged to have occurred in Edmonton."

Kelly "was arrested without incident and was remanded in custody to be transported back to Alberta to speak to the charges," said the police release.

EPS Chief Richard Lowen said the Edmonton Police Service contact the Estevan Police Service, letting them know the accused was living in Estevan. Police found him at his residence on the south side of the city.
