Fire department called to grass fire in Estevan

Estevan Fire & Rescue Services were called to a fire late Wednesday morning.

The fire appeared to be on a grassy area off 4th Avenue, between Jubilee Place and Perkins Street.

Fire crews and the Estevan Police Service closed 4th Avenue to traffic. The fire department was still spraying water on some areas around 12 p.m.

Estevan Frie & Rescue Service says that the fire was "relatively small" in nature and that while they don't know what caused it, they said the fire was not suspicious in nature.
