Continuing our rundown of the towns of Southeast Saskatchewan, today at Rock 106 we salute Forget!

Situated about 70 km north of Estevan and immediately west of Stoughton, the town of Forget was first established by French settlers in the late 19th century. Their French heritage is shown in their unusual pronunciation of the town, which they say For-JHAY rather than Forget.

Nowadays the town of Forget is home to the famous Happy Nun Cafe. The Happy Nun was briefly closed down after the tragic passing of owner Kaite Vinge in 2017. The cafe re-opened later that year however under new ownership and is once again going strong, serving the same great food the people of Forget have come to expect.
