A litany of charges against Travis Patron, founder and head of the Canadian Nationalist Party, were on the docket in Regina Provincial Court yesterday. The 29-year-old Redvers native appeared at 2:00 on charges stemming from a series of incidents both in Redvers and online, and was remanded in custody.

Among the charges were willful promotion of hate, for which he was arrested in February of this year. These charges stem from a complaint the RCMP received in 2019 from the Canadian Anti-Hate Network about an allegedly Anti-Semitic YouTube video entitled "Beware the Parasitic Tribe." He is presumed innocent.

Charges from more recent incidents were also before the court as Patron faced several charges of mischief and being at large, breaching his conditions, and willful obstruction. He was also charged with breaking and entering and resisting arrest. These charges come from two incidents in the span of ten days in the town of Redvers. He is presumed innocent.

The Carlyle RCMP reported Patron was arrested on March 19 for mischief and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. They confirmed he was arrested at the Redvers Legion, which the Legion has said he is trying to seize control of. He was arrested at the same location on March 28, this time charged with breaking and entering and two counts of failing to comply with release conditions.

An official at Regina provincial courthouse confirmed Patron was also charged with resisting arrest. RCMP confirmed they are aware of letters Patron allegedly sent to both the Legion and the Town of Redvers and are still investigating.

Patron will appear again in Regina Provincial Court on April 12 at 9:30 in the morning to be spoken to. He will also be in court on April 23 to answer to charges of aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, and breach of probation that came from an incident in Regina in 2019. He is presumed innocent.
