From left to right: Constable Evan Handley and Constable Braden LonsberryFrom August 7-16, Constable Evan Handley and Constable Braden Lonsberry with the Estevan Police Service were on duty in Los Angeles. This time they were competing in the World Police Fire games.

"They were part of a Canadian hockey team representing our service and Canadian Police officers," explained Police Chief Paul Ladouceur. "It being in Los Angeles made it quite an event. We supported their attendance there and they ended up winning bronze."

"It's very impressive when you're playing many teams from all over the world. We're pretty proud of them without a doubt, and it certainly puts our mark on the map."

Both Handley and Lonsberry will be recognized at the next police board meeting for their achievement.
