This weekend was the Estevan Libraries Lego club. It takes place once a month, and it's a great way to spend the afternoon with the whole family.

My son and I went as we always do and had a great time. We showed up a little after it got started and were quite surprised by how many people were there. It's usually a very popular event, but this month it was packed.

The theme was to build a poppy. My son being five wanted to make a castle instead. While we were rummaging through all the pieces, we managed to find the dinosaur I had built on September 15th. The Liopleurodon has always been my favorite amphibious dinosaur, and I felt like it would be perfect for September's Dinosaur theme. My son was kind enough to put it in the display case for me, which I assume is only for children. But I wanted the world to see my Lego creation.

So you can now imagine my surprise that it had been kept together this whole time. To me, it felt like divine intervention. And since I'm never one to pass up an opportunity, I asked my son if I could place my Liopleurodon on his castle. He said no and told me "You should move on with your life". I could not. So I begged.

You can see mine and all the other children's Lego creations displayed outside the Estevan Public Library and make sure you don't miss the next Lego Club. If you do, the consequences could be dire!
