Several local golfers were competing on a regional level recently at the RBC PGA Scramble in Regina.

Jeff Ward, Nathan Wilhelm, Brad Wilhelm and Mark Spencer were accomanied by Amanda Minchin, as each team was to have a PGA Pro on board, to form the TS&M Woodlawn team.

"We had a lot of fun. There was fourteen teams there from all over the province, obviously a lot of really good golfers, each with their PGA Pro. We played well, we just needed to make a few more birdies and puts," shared Minchin, who's also the Head Pro and General Manager of the Woodlawn Regional Golf Club, the team's home course.

"We knew we were going to have to birdie most of the holes to have a chance to go, and just couldn't get it done coming home in the last few holes. But, we had a lot of fun and we'll do it again next year."

The team finished 11th overall in the scramble.
